Many people believe that to start a new business all you need is a good product, some money, and a lot of determination.
This is absolutely true. However, to add to that you need knowledge, adaptability, understanding, patience, ability to take the knocks, more money, willingness to work long hours, planning skills, so on, and so on. If it all sounds too hard, perhaps going into business is not for you.
Statistics suggest that over 70 percent of people don't survive their first year and 90 percent don't make it to the fifth year.
Okay! you may say "but, I'm different", and that may well be true. However, unless you are armed with as many facts as possible about the business you are going into, your chance of survival is about as good as the 70 percent.
Now that you have read about the negatives, here are some positives to take into consideration.

From this point on, you are in control, you will decide whether you want to carry on with your business, whether you will want to work through these worksheets, or whether you just forge ahead with nothing more than your gut feelings. You may chose to move in another direction or try another idea, or give up the idea altogether, rest assured the decision will be yours and so will the consequences of that decision.
