    This is about you and your role in shaping your life and how you can make changes that allow you to get out of the rut you feel you may be in. It's all about doing what works and what matters. At times the people around you may seem to be unfair or unkind and can be extremely insensitive to your needs, it may sometimes feel that the more successful you become the more critical they are, hence the phrase the tall 'Poppy Syndrome' but unfortunately that's part of life, fair or unfair you need to help yourself, no-one else can do it for you.

    We use our senses to think, what we tell ourselves internally is usually how we will react externally, for example, 'I'm not lucky', 'no-one likes me' 'I'm not pretty', I'm not as smart as my brother, father, sister....' and 'I knew this would happen' inevitably leads to pessimism and self doubt. Affirmations are a means to changing this way of thinking through repetition, until your mind believes the words you are saying.
